About 70 participated in the Memorial and Candlelight Vigil at Yenching Library on June 4, 2010. After an hour long video reviewing the events of, and since that trageic morning in 1989, the audience stood in silence for a moment of respect. The following statement was made by our organization at 8:30…See More
An interesting concept to re-create Chinese paintings, and possibly to re-appreciate ancient inspirational work by great Chinese poets, calligraphers and painters (try it):http://www.npm.gov.tw/exh96/orientation/flash_4/index.html別忘了拉到視窗下方…點擊…拍拍皇宮大門、拍拍馬兒屁股、拍拍船頭等小圖之後,再用滑鼠,點畫裡面框起來的地方,會出現不錯的動畫!See More

Learning from their CCP masters, government officials of HKSAR are quickly learning to use a combination of propaganda, opinion manipulation and outright show of force for the benefit of the affluent & ruling "elite" class. Using Facebook appears to be the first of many steps to "reach out to the post-80 generation". Post-80, post 90.... whatever. Society cannot be harmonious without justice. Justice is derived from rights, which sometimes may not be won without might.... This ploy of the…See More

I was asked by a cousin recently if I was aware of any new medications for migraine headache... actually, she asked me this question quite a while back, so a "recent" question is now getting a delayed answer. Fortunately she is not the victim of this bad disease, or this delay would have made her really angry with a procrastinating cousin. Well, she may still be angry with me, for instance, why I choose to answer this question using this column intended for the "middle age". My cousin is a…See More
Around 3/9/08, Ning experienced a lot of system performance issues. Possible that was the cause. The posting is not so long that it would cause a problem. Will observe and see if it recurs.
The last round of trying this out. Notes:
1) translation of traditional chinese - proper phrase for it?
2) profile details and what is shown : is it better to be consistent?
3) uploading of image when event is created - compulsory?
4) login in procedures - give a verbal/mental prep to first group of users?
Didn't you invite Anita? but she is not your friend neither. Why don't you add her as a friend, then I can compare the difference. So far, just look like I can access all the links on your page.
Another potential glitch on TC vs SC: No matter which Chinese character you pick, every time you go to a new tab, the default reverts back to SC. For a TC user, it will be annoying.
Other minor brush-ups:
1. The newly implemented profile feature seems to duplicate the questions about Gender, Home town, Country etc again.
2. Shouldn't the Purpose for Joining allow user to say more if Other is picked?
3. Too many places in the Profile ask about for URL's ... is it neccessary?
Just read your comment for Joyce.... not that much privacy here er... Anyway, just want to say that I can see your events. I could see more info about that an hour ago, like who has replied what, but I can't see those detail now.
This comment wall is fast becoming confusing with too many issues.

I just created a group called FAQ - How the site works for this purpose.
