However, a few minutes late I added her as a friend, and you said you could no longer see those comments. I wonder if that is the difference: if one makes a comment to another who is not a friend, then it is presumed to be public. But if comment is to a friend, then it is shielded from public view. Makes sense I guess.

I never invited Anita to be friend, but I did open my Mid-life Group to the public, just to test it. I'll invite you and Anita to be friends after more features have been tested out.... for example I am still uncertain how the photo and album privacy is maintained. The video privacy works quite well -- I have tested it before I turned Joyce into a friend.
